According to the Organizing Committee, the exhibition received about 400 applications from artists from many Asian countries. Through a careful selection process, 40 outstanding applications were chosen to officially participate in the exhibition. Notably, Vietnam was honored to have 7 artists invited to participate, an impressive number demonstrating the sublimation and integration of Vietnamese fine arts in the contemporary flow.

The list of 7 selected Vietnamese artists includes: Phan Thai Hoang (Ca Mau province); Nguyen Thi Hoa and To Tran Bich Thuy (Thua Thien Hue); Ngo Hung Thanh (Da Nang city); Nguyen Cong Hoai (Bien Hoa city); Le Thuy Quynh (Ho Chi Minh city) and Le Quynh Anh ( Hanoi city).

Held in Chiang Mai city, the cultural and artistic center of Asia in Thailand, this exhibition brings together about 100 works of various genres. Of which, cubism and abstract paintings account for about 70%, the rest are realistic paintings, creating a multi-dimensional art space, both modern and profound in content and form of expression.

Sharing from the exhibition, Painter Phan Thai Hoang, a native of Ca Mau , said: “This is a precious opportunity for us, Vietnamese artists, to learn and exchange with international friends, while affirming the position of our country’s fine arts. Vietnamese works this time are highly appreciated for their techniques and ideas, especially in the genres of cubism, abstraction, sharpie and zinc engraving. The love from the Thai public and international visitors is the motivation for us to continue creating.”

Notably, the exhibition also recorded breakthroughs from highly applicable works, combining traditional techniques and modern technology. Many Vietnamese artists have boldly exploited new materials, innovative layouts, conveying messages about people, the environment, indigenous cultures and modern Asian life in a subtle and profound way.

The founder of the exhibition, Mr. Corrodo Ferretti (Italian) is the bridge, bringing Asian art closer to the international community. With a long-term vision and passion for contemporary art, he has created a connecting space, where artists not only display their works but also research, discuss and orient the development of cubist and abstract paintings in the new era.

According to Mr. Ferretti, after the success of the event in Thailand, the exhibition “Asian Art Century” is expected to be held in Hue City (Vietnam) in 2026. This is a valuable opportunity for Vietnam to not only affirm its role in the region but also become a center for connecting contemporary art in Asia.

Not stopping there, the Organizing Committee also selected 5 representative works from countries to participate in the next exhibition in Italy in November 2025. Among these, Vietnam is honored to have the work of artist Le Thuy Quynh (Ho Chi Minh City) selected. This is not only the pride of the artist but also a testament to the strong vitality and depth of thinking of Vietnamese fine arts in the global contemporary flow.

Looking back at the exhibition journey in Chiang Mai, it can be seen that Vietnam is increasingly asserting itself in the international art arena, not only in the number of participating artists but also in the quality of works, creative thinking and integration spirit. With the support of international organizers like Mr. Ferretti and the regional network, the future of Vietnamese art, especially in the cubist and abstract painting genres, is wide open and promising.
