One of the notable auctions took place in March 2025, attracting nearly 1,000 registrations and 330 direct customers. The auction lasted 12 hours, showing the strong attraction of the real estate market in the City. Many plots of land have convenient locations, synchronous infrastructure, reasonable starting prices, opening up access opportunities for those with real needs, especially officials, civil servants, workers and middle-income households. This is a positive change compared to previous auctions, which often focused on high-value plots of land that are difficult to access for the majority of people. At this auction, 45/60 plots of land were successfully auctioned, worth 41 billion VND, with a revenue difference of nearly 19 billion VND compared to the starting price.
Mr. Bui Viet Tung, To Hieu Ward, City, who won the auction for 2 plots of land in residential area group 12, Quyet Thang Ward, shared: I find this auction very suitable for the economic conditions of many households. The plots of land are clearly planned, the starting price is reasonable, and the location is also convenient for living and working.
Discussing this content, Mr. Nguyen Van Than, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: Before organizing the auction, we carefully prepared the conditions for the best organization. The land lots put up for auction this time, many of which are located in areas with development potential, have reasonable prices, have completed legal documents, have been carefully reviewed for planning, have been publicly announced and the auction is organized transparently, in accordance with regulations.
From 2024 to present, the City has organized 12 land auctions, through which 243 land plots were successfully auctioned, contributing more than 501.6 billion VND to the budget, of which the difference in revenue increase was about 65.5 billion VND compared to the starting point. Successful land auctions have increased budget revenue, directly contributing to the development of urban infrastructure, many welfare works such as schools, lighting systems, cultural houses, roads... have been invested, expanding urban space in a civilized, modern direction, in harmony with local identity.
Land use rights auctions in Son La city are transparent, effectively exploiting public land funds, becoming an important driving force to boost local budget revenue, creating conditions for infrastructure investment, urban beautification, regulating the real estate market, supporting people to settle down, and developing sustainable urban areas.
