Although he participated in many positions in the commune and village and actively worked in production, his family's economy was still difficult. In 2015, after researching and understanding the market, Mr. Chuong decided to invest in porcupine farming, starting with only 3 pairs of porcupine breeders. Up to now, the porcupine herd has always maintained nearly 100 porcupines.

Mr. Luong Van Chuong shared: Porcupine is a wild animal, has high resistance, is rarely infected with diseases, porcupine meat is very good for health, so it is favored by the market. Building a cage is simple, does not take up much space, the main food is available vegetables, tubers, and fruits. Porcupines reproduce twice a year, each litter has 2-4 children, and after raising them for a year, they can reach a weight of 10 kg. Each year, the family sells nearly 1 ton of porcupine meat, after deducting expenses, earning a profit of 250 million VND.

The pigs for meat are sold under a contract with a business in Hanoi ; the breeding pigs are both raised and supplied to people in the area.
