Promoting investment, trade and tourism between Hanoi and the Northwestern provinces

About 230 delegates attended the Conference on connecting investment, trade and tourism between Hanoi and provinces in the Northwest region - Connecting for mutual development - "Link to Grow" and the Program on connecting and trading between organizations, businesses and investors.

The conference was attended by about 230 delegates (150 delegates expected to attend the conference and 80 delegates participating in the connection and trade program) including: leaders of Hanoi People's Committee, leaders of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and provinces participating in the program; representatives of some departments and branches of Hanoi and provinces in the Northwest region...; leaders of HPA and representatives of business associations/unions; enterprises, investors in Hanoi, provinces in the Northwest region and some provinces and cities nationwide.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of HPA Le Tu Luc said that with the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Hanoi - HPA organized the Conference "Connecting investment, trade and tourism between Hanoi and provinces in the Northwest region: Connecting for Development - "Link to Grow" in Lao Cai province to introduce the potential, strengths, promote the image, cooperation, promote investment, trade and tourism between Hanoi and provinces in the Northwest region (especially the host province this year - Lao Cai province), thereby supporting businesses to promote and introduce products; connect and seek business cooperation opportunities, contributing to raising awareness and effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods", promoting tourism development cooperation programs between Hanoi and provinces and cities nationwide.

Based on those specific and practical goals, with its position as the capital - the heart of the country, over the past time, Hanoi has always affirmed its leading position in attracting foreign investment. Hanoi City has constantly improved its investment and business environment, actively reviewed administrative procedures, simplified and accelerated the time to receive and process procedures, created convenience and reduced costs for people, organizations, and businesses... At the same time, issued and implemented policies on supporting businesses, organized many investment promotion activities, business dialogues, removed many difficulties and obstacles for businesses in the process of production and business in Hanoi, contributing to improving the investment environment and enhancing the city's provincial competitiveness.

At the conference, delegates introduced the investment and business environment of Hanoi, Lao Cai and some provinces and cities in the Northwest region; connected and introduced cooperation opportunities between businesses and investors, and promoted investment, trade and tourism in localities in the Northwest region.

Exhibition space for typical products between Hanoi and provinces in the Northwest region with an area of about 3,000m2 includes the following areas: Area for promoting and introducing achievements, potentials, and investment environment of Hanoi City and provinces and cities in the Northwest region; Area for displaying, introducing, and promoting strong, typical, and characteristic products of Hanoi City and provinces and cities in the Northwest region (specialty products, OCOP, handicrafts, gifts, agricultural products, etc.).

Besides, there is a space to introduce and promote attractive tourist destinations, new tourism products, unique tours bringing new experiences of new tourist cities, unique tours bringing new experiences of Hanoi and provinces and cities in the Northwest region.

It is expected that the exhibition space for typical products between Hanoi and the provinces in the Northwest region will take place from November 23-26 at the walking street space of Lao Cai city, Kim Tan, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province.

According to HPA, the organization of this event also aims to stimulate domestic consumption, increase total retail sales of goods and services, stabilize the market, thereby contributing to promoting economic growth of localities in general and provinces in the Northwest region in particular./.
