President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh today received South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, who is on an official visit to Vietnam and attending the Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) summit.
President Luong Cuong thanked Korea, as a founding member, for actively supporting Vietnam in successfully organizing the first multilateral summit on green growth.

The President assessed that the two countries still have much room for cooperation and need to coordinate to effectively and substantially implement cooperation in politics , defense, security and economic cooperation. It is necessary to soon achieve the goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 150 billion USD by 2030 in a balanced and sustainable manner.
President Luong Cuong asked Korea to share its experience in developing the entertainment industry; increase the quota for receiving workers and expand the industries receiving Vietnamese workers in the coming time.
Vietnam and South Korea need to strengthen cooperation and promote people-to-people exchanges, thereby contributing to creating a bond between the more than 200,000 overseas Vietnamese living, studying and working in each country.
Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul said that Korea always considers Vietnam a key partner in implementing foreign policy in the region. Korea wishes to work with Vietnam to further promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all areas of politics, economics, culture, education, science and technology, etc.

Receiving the Korean Foreign Minister, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the official visit to Vietnam and the P4G Summit.
The Prime Minister shared and highly appreciated the efforts of the Korean Government and people in maintaining political and social stability and foreign relations. Vietnam believes that the Korean Government will soon regain stability and continue to develop more strongly.

The Prime Minister said that the highlights in bilateral cooperation include enhanced political trust, trade and investment reaching new growth milestones, and continued promotion of tourism and local cooperation.
The two sides need to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts in diverse and flexible forms. The two countries' foreign ministries continue to promote their coordination role and promote cooperation mechanisms between the two countries to review the implementation of the Action Program to implement the Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Prime Minister suggested that Korea further open its market to Vietnamese goods to reduce the trade deficit; promote technology transfer, especially core and source technology; and support Vietnam in training high-quality human resources.
He also proposed that Korea cooperate and support Vietnam in developing cultural and entertainment industries.

Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul said he was very impressed by Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements. South Korea always considers Vietnam a key partner not only in its policy towards ASEAN but also in its Indo-Pacific strategy.
Minister Cho Tae-yul thanked and hoped that the Vietnamese Government would continue to support the Korean community in Vietnam as well as regularly organize direct dialogues with Korean businesses...
