Proposal to fine Asia Life Joint Stock Company over 200 million VND

Accordingly, on March 7, 2025, the Inspection Team under Decision No. 229/QD-SYT dated March 7, 2025 of the Director of the Department of Health (Inspection Team No. 229) inspected Asia Life Joint Stock Company (address 18/99 Nguyen Van Linh, Ea Tu Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province). During the inspection, Inspection Team No. 229 took samples of "SUPERGREENS GUMMIES Supplement Food" produced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company for food safety testing.

Based on the inspection results and the test results of "SUPERGREENS GUMMIES" by the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control - Ministry of Health , Inspection Team No. 229 invited a representative of Asia Life Joint Stock Company to the Department of Health to work and draw up a record of administrative violations on March 31, 2025.

Pursuant to the Administrative Violation Record No. 27/BB-VPHC dated March 31, 2025 of the Department of Health Inspectorate, Asia Life Joint Stock Company was found to have committed many serious violations. Specifically: the company did not fully monitor the temperature and humidity of raw materials and products in the storage area and warehouse; the food production facility is subject to mandatory establishment and application of a hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system that has been established but not fully applied in practice; production of products subject to self-declaration of products that do not comply with the announced standards; trading and circulating food products with additives other than the announced standards.

Up to now, the total value of the infringing products sold is 2,080 boxes (cost price 32,452 VND/box), earning a profit of more than 67 million VND.

Previously, on March 7, implementing the direction of the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health), the Director of the Department of Health of Dak Lak province issued a decision to establish an inspection team to inspect the compliance with food safety regulations for Asia Life Joint Stock Company.

Immediately afterwards, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C01) also issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of "Production of counterfeit food products and deceiving customers" stipulated in Articles 193 and 198 of the 2015 Penal Code, related to Asia Life Joint Stock Company and Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company and a number of companies, occurring in Ho Chi Minh City and Dak Lak province.

At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has issued a decision to prosecute and apply temporary detention measures against the defendants Nguyen Phong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asia Life Joint Stock Company for the crime of "Production of counterfeit food products" prescribed in Clause 4, Article 193 of the 2015 Penal Code; Nguyen Thi Thai Hang (Hang Du Muc), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Le Tuan Linh, Director of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Pham Quang Linh (Quang Linh Vlogs), shareholder, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Le Thanh Cong, shareholder, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company, all for the crime of "Deceiving customers", prescribed in Clause 2, Article 198 of the 2015 Penal Code.
