On the morning of August 16, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to evaluate the enrollment work for grade 10 high school in the 2023-2024 school year in the province.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were representatives of departments, branches, localities, VocationalEducation - Continuing Education Center (VET - GDTX), secondary schools and colleges in the province.

According to the report at the meeting, the 10th grade enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year in the province is carried out through two methods: provincial-wide entrance exams at specialized schools (Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted, N'Trang Long Boarding Ethnic High School, Dam San Boarding Ethnic High School); admission based on enrollment areas at the remaining public high schools.
The remaining educational institutions (High schools, private multi-level general schools, Tay Nguyen Ethnic Boarding High School, Cao Nguyen Practical High School, Sports Training and Competition Center) develop their own enrollment plans based on the Provincial People's Committee's enrollment plan.
In the 2022-2023 school year, 29,702 students graduated from junior high school. To date, 23,180 students have been admitted to grade 10 of high school; more than 4,040 students have been admitted to grade 10 of the continuing education system of vocational education centers in districts, towns, cities, intermediate schools, and vocational colleges in the area; and 2,480 students currently do not have a school to study and are unclear about their needs for post-junior high school education.

At the meeting, delegates raised opinions related to the work of student streaming after graduating from junior high school: shortcomings in the work of recruiting students for grade 10; lack of synchronization in linking data and student information between levels of education; difficulties and obstacles when opening additional classes for students who want to continue studying after graduating from junior high school...
Most opinions hope that the province will have solutions to ensure local schools and classes to ensure the right to study for students in need. At the same time, there will be a plan to improve the quality of vocational training at vocational training facilities so that after graduation, students can practice the profession they have learned, and soon participate in the labor market as the set goal...

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh requested the Department of Education and Training to review the list of students admitted to general education institutions, vocational training institutions combined with cultural education in the area, and the number of students who do not have a place to study, and report to the People's Committee before August 20 so that the province can promptly direct and develop a plan to arrange schools and classes for students. Relevant departments, branches, and localities coordinate to develop a plan to arrange funding, facilities, and teachers to open additional 10th grade classes for students who want to study at educational institutions to ensure their right to study...
