Candidates for high school graduation exam 2023

The Director of VNU Hanoi has approved the issuance of a project to attract and train students from the South Central and Southern regions at VNU Hanoi in basic science majors and new majors with high demand. The project is applied to undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.

For the university training program, the subjects of application are those who have graduated from high school, have permanent residence for 36 months or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in the provinces of the South Central or Southern regions, meet the admission requirements of the training unit, wish to study at VNU and commit to work in the locality after graduating from university;

For the postgraduate training program, the subjects of application are civil servants, public employees, teachers, lecturers, and managers of enterprises currently working at units located in the provinces in the region, with university degrees in the fields required by the training program.

Priority is given to candidates with preferential policies (children of war invalids, martyrs, ethnic minorities, children of poor households, near-poor households, etc.) if they have the same admission score.

Quality assurance threshold score: based on the actual situation each year, for the 2023-2024 school year only: with the high school exam method, it is 24 points.

At the same time, candidates must attend an interview and write an essay as required by the admissions board of the registered unit. Candidates who meet the threshold score will be considered for admission based on the principle of taking the score from high to low until the quota is filled.

According to the plan, every year, VNU- Hanoi coordinates with localities to survey the training needs of each locality. Based on the training needs and capabilities of member units, VNU-Hanoi determines the training targets for each major and level to train for provinces in the Southern and South Central regions. At the same time, VNU-Hanoi also determines the training scale in the 6-year pilot period. After the pilot period, VNU-Hanoi summarizes the project, proposes tasks, solutions and recommendations for the next phase.

Training funding is drawn from many sources, including: Funding from the annual State Budget; funding from the budget of VNU and training units; funding from local support.
