Hanoi Medical University will enroll students in psychology for the first time in 2024, but the benchmark score has reached an "astronomical" level. Specifically, the C00 combination takes 28.83 points, D01 takes 26.86 points, and B00 is 25.46 points. Thus, to pass the school, candidates need to achieve an average of 8.48-9.61 points/subject.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi continues to be the top choice in the North with high benchmark scores in all groups. Group C00 has a benchmark score of 29 points in three years (2022), 28 points (2023) and increases to 28.6 (2024).

It can be seen that psychology is always in the top group in terms of admission scores, reflecting the fierce competition.

Notably, the Vietnam Youth Academy has increased from a low of 15 (in 2023) to 21 (in 2024) and jumped to 26.5 (in 2025), or more than 11 points in just 3 years. This is the biggest increase among all schools with data for three consecutive years.

At the Vietnam Women's Academy, the benchmark score increased from 19.5 (in 2022) to 24.5 (in 2024), an increase of 5 points in just 2 years. Hanoi Capital University also increased sharply from 23.23 (in 2023) to 26.63 (in 2024).

In the Southern region, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh National University has a steady and stable increase in the three years 2022-2024, in which the C00 combination increased from 26.9 to 28.3, the D14 combination from 26.07 to 27.1. On average, candidates need to achieve 8.5-9.4 points/subject to have a chance to be admitted to this major.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education also recorded an impressive increase, from 23 points (in 2023) to 27.1 (in 2024). This is one of the few schools with a benchmark score exceeding 27.

Similarly, the benchmark score for psychology at Thu Dau Mot University also increased by nearly 10 points after only two years. In 2022, this major only took 15.5 points according to the C00 combination, but by 2023, the score had increased to 22.25 and in 2024 it rose to 25 points.

The University of Labour and Social Affairs (CSII) and the Ho Chi Minh City Open University both have a slight increase trend. With an increase from 24.25 to 25.8 and from 20 to 23.8, this is a suitable choice for students with average or above average academic performance.

Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Dong A University, Hoa Sen University, Yersin Da Lat University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance... all have benchmark scores ranging from 15-17 points. Van Hien University is a rare school with a sharp decrease from 23.5 (in 2023) to only 16.4 points (in 2024).

In general, the benchmark scores for psychology have increased sharply over the past three years, showing the growing attraction of this major to candidates and clearly reflecting the fierce competition at universities.
