The Ministry of Education and Training has announced its decision to issue a plan to implement university and college enrollment in 2026. It is expected that the Ministry of Education and Training will issue the enrollment plan for 2026 on November 10.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training requires training institutions to develop enrollment plans and promptly announce enrollment information so that students have a plan to study and review for the 2026 high school graduation exam.
Educational institutions must comply with the provisions of the admission regulations and current laws and plans, and be accountable to the ministry, competent authorities and society for all admission work of the training institution.
Training institutions shall promulgate their own admission regulations to specify the provisions of the current admission regulations for training forms, and shall publicize them on the training institution's website.
Training institutions must complete the publication of enrollment information on the training institution's website by February 15, 2026.
Candidates practice registering and adjusting admission wishes on the system from June 17 to June 21. After that, candidates provide and receive, review, correct errors, and confirm priority information.
On June 20, candidates provide and the receiving point reviews foreign language certificates, SAT; updates preliminary results, results of independent and supplementary exams, capacity assessment, thinking assessment (if any).
Candidates complete the submission of applications for direct admission and priority admission to educational institutions on June 20. The direct admission and notification of results to candidates, and the list of successful candidates will be updated on the system before June 30.
From the date candidates register for the exam until August 30, educational institutions and the Department of Education and Training will support candidates to register for the first round of admission online.

Timelines to keep in mind
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, from May 1 to May 20, 2026, the Department of Education and Training will provide additional accounts for candidates (high school and college graduates) who do not have an account to register for admission on the system.
From July 2 to 5:00 p.m. on July 14, candidates can register and adjust their admission wishes an unlimited number of times within the prescribed time.
On July 10, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the threshold to ensure input quality for teacher training, health and law fields.
At 5:00 p.m. on July 10, 2026, educational institutions will adjust and announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and electronic information page.
From July 15 to July 21, 2026, candidates pay admission fees online.
Before 5:00 p.m. on August 13, candidates will be notified of their admission to the first round. Then, candidates will confirm their admission to the first round online on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026.
From August 22, 2026, educational institutions will announce additional enrollment.
Direct admission and priority admission methods will continue to be applied in 2026. However, for high school transcript admission, the Ministry of Education and Training has not yet decided whether to continue or abolish it.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that in 2026, the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) will implement the content of unifying criteria for assessing the capacity of higher education institutions, before the time the training institutions organize exams.
Competency assessment tests, thinking assessment tests, and admission tests must ensure principles, criteria, content, expertise, and ensure input quality standards among university admission methods.
