On June 17, Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Director of the Departmentof Education and Training of Gia Lai province - said that he had just announced the exam scores for specialized subjects to enter Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, including the literature subject, whose exam questions caused a stir in public opinion because of the incorrect quotes compared to the original.

Accordingly, the department assessed the quality of the exam and the score distribution of the specialized literature exam as stable, with no sudden changes compared to previous years.

The score range is diverse, with both high-scoring and low-scoring exams.

In general, the quality of the exams ensures that they meet the conditions for classifying candidates for selection into specialized literature classes.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long also said that compared to other specialized subjects, specialized literature has the highest total floor score for admission.

The scores of the specialized literature exam of candidates in Gia Lai province this year fluctuated widely, commonly in the 5 - 8 score range.

The highest score in the specialized literature exam, 9.25 points, belonged to contestant Bui Thi Khanh Huyen, a student at Quang Trung Secondary School, Duc Co District. This contestant won third prize in the provincial literature competition for excellent students.

The second highest score of 9 points belonged to contestant Luu Trinh Gia Han, a student at Tran Phu Secondary School, Pleiku City. This contestant had previously won an encouragement prize in the literature competition for excellent students.

As Tuoi Tre Online reported earlier, in the 2024 entrance exam for grade 10 to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, there was an incident with the literature exam. In particular, question 2 (5 points) in the writing section incorrectly quoted the original sentence "Poetry does not produce golden rice, white rice" as "Poetry does not produce golden rice, white gold...".

After evaluation, the Gia Lai province professional council determined that the error accounted for 0.5 of the total test score, so the conclusion still met the conditions for classifying candidates.
