Nearly two decades of connection and development
Since the first forum held in 2006 in Berlin, the initiative to connect Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe has developed into the Vietnam Business Associations in Europe (VBAE) – a common home for more than 20 business associations and Vietnamese associations across the continent. Through each session, the forum not only helps the overseas Vietnamese community exchange experiences and find cooperation opportunities, but also connects generations of entrepreneurs, strengthening Vietnamese identity in the integration environment.
To date, the forum has been successfully held in many countries such as Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France and Romania. Each session has a different theme, but the common thread throughout is the spirit of "Solidarity - Cooperation - Towards the Fatherland". Through that, Vietnamese businessmen in Europe not only develop the economy but also become a bridge connecting trade, investment and culture between Vietnam and Europe.
Over the years, the forum has also been the place to initiate typical initiatives such as "Conference of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe", "DNET.eu Connection Portal", or start-up and generation transfer programs. From there, a network of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe is formed that is dynamic, creative and highly socially responsible - exactly the spirit that the forum aims for.
Forum 2025: Imprints spread from Bucharest
The 14th Vietnam Business Forum in Europe, held in Bucharest (Romania) in October 2025, was one of the most successful events in the history of the forum. With the theme "Connection - Innovation - Sustainable Development", the event gathered more than 200 delegates from 15 European countries, including entrepreneurs, association leaders, experts, intellectuals and representatives of the Vietnam Trade Office.
The event was co-organized by the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in Europe, the Vietnamese Business Association in Romania and the Vietnam Trade Office in Bucharest, with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.
The forum is not only an opportunity for meeting and economic cooperation, but also a demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and responsibility of overseas Vietnamese businessmen towards their homeland and the host society.
During the three days, the discussions and panels revolved around many practical topics: Generational transfer of entrepreneurs, digital transformation in business, social responsibility and community role, along with B2B business connection sessions. In particular, the plenary session "Vietnamese enterprises in the green and digital era" received great attention from young entrepreneurs, when speakers shared their experiences in building sustainable brands and integrating deeply into the European market.
On the sidelines of the forum, there was a gala connecting art, introducing Vietnamese cuisine and culture to international friends, along with sports activities, golf exchanges and visits to the Vietnamese community in Bucharest. All of this created an atmosphere of "a festival of Vietnamese businessmen in Europe", where economic connections blend with culture and fellow countrymen's feelings.
The media impact of the 2025 forum was particularly strong. Dozens of Vietnamese newspapers, TV channels and social media platforms in Europe reported, shared images and speeches of delegates, helping to spread the message of "Vietnamese entrepreneurs unite, integrate and develop sustainably".
This is also the first time that the forum's activities are broadcast live on the DNET.eu platform - a big step forward in digital transformation of the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in Europe.
Social Responsibility – Mission goes hand in hand with business
A highlight of the 2025 forum was the emphasis on community responsibility. Many overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs are not only successful in business, but also actively contribute to society through volunteer activities, cultural preservation and supporting the education of the younger generation.
At the panel discussions, touching stories were shared, from the program "Entrepreneurs with the young generation of Vietnamese in Europe" supporting scholarships and skills training for young people of Vietnamese origin, to the campaign "One million masks for the local community" launched by the Vietnamese Business Association in Poland during the pandemic. These actions have helped the image of Vietnamese people in the eyes of European friends become more and more beautiful: hardworking, kind, responsible and civilized.
Many businessmen also proactively contribute to social work in their hometowns, such as building schools in mountainous areas, supporting the Fund for the Homeland's Sea and Islands, and supporting people affected by natural disasters in the country.
"Social responsibility is not just about charity, but also about how Vietnamese businessmen maintain their reputation and contribute to building trust for Vietnamese brands in Europe," said Mr. Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in Europe.
Also at the forum, the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Europe Award for Community was presented to outstanding individuals who have made outstanding contributions to social activities, education and promotion of Vietnamese culture. This honor not only recognizes achievements, but also inspires the young generation of entrepreneurs: Business is associated with ethics and global citizenship responsibility.

Connecting and spreading – The strength of the Vietnamese business community in Europe
Through 14 events, the Vietnam Business Forum in Europe has created a sustainable network of connections between Vietnamese business associations in Europe. From the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Romania to the UK and Norway, member associations maintain regular coordination, share information, support trade promotion and organize activities towards the homeland.
Forum 2025 once again affirmed that spirit. Right from the start, the Vietnam Business Association in Romania received strong support from other associations. Delegations from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Hungary, etc. contributed their efforts, shared their organizational experiences, and submitted papers on digital economy, logistics, and Vietnamese brands.
Not only connecting internally, the forum is also an important bridge between overseas Vietnamese businesses and domestic businesses. Many cooperation agreements were signed, opening up opportunities to bring Vietnamese goods into the European distribution system through the overseas Vietnamese network. At the same time, European businessmen also introduced investment projects back to Vietnam in the fields of renewable energy, supporting industries and education.
Vietnam Trade Offices in European countries play a special role in supporting connection and information coordination. Trade Office representatives in the Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, and France all attended the forum, introducing new trade policies, consulting on EVFTA regulations, and sharing market information. The presence of the Vietnam Trade Office system has helped to strengthen the connection between the State, businesses, and the community, ensuring that initiatives are implemented sustainably.
Bucharest Imprint – New Responsibility and Vision
The success of the Vietnam Business Forum in Europe 2025 is the success of the community spirit, where each entrepreneur not only represents a company but also represents the image of Vietnam in Europe.
The friendly and open atmosphere between generations, the close connection between business associations and diplomatic missions, and specific projects towards the homeland – all have created a beautiful picture of united and responsible Vietnamese people.
"We are successful when every Vietnamese businessman in Europe is aware that his development is linked to the image of the country," the Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania said in his closing speech at the 2025 Forum.
The Forum concluded with a joint statement calling for the building of a network of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe in the new era of green, digital, sustainable and humane, and agreed on Poland to host the Forum in 2026.
From the success of Bucharest, it can be affirmed that the Vietnam Business Forum in Europe has gone beyond the scope of a commercial event: It is a symbol of national pride, of the entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility of Vietnamese people in Europe.
The forum not only connects business opportunities, but also unites Vietnamese hearts - together spreading Vietnamese values, contributing to glorifying the Fatherland in the heart of Europe.
