Adjusting the time of operating gasoline prices

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development has just sent a document to the Department of Industry and Trade of localities and key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the adjustment of the time for managing gasoline and oil prices.

Accordingly, Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading stipulates that the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented on Thursday every week.

However, the decree also clearly states that if the fifth day coincides with the first day of a holiday, the time for managing gasoline prices will be implemented on the preceding Wednesday. If the fifth day coincides with the remaining holidays, the time for managing gasoline prices will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday.

According to current regulations, Thursday, May 1st is International Labor Day (the second day of the holiday). 30/4-1/5/2025 ). Therefore, the management of gasoline prices immediately following the management period on April 24 will be implemented on Monday, May 5 (the first working day after the holiday).
