The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced that, after receiving notification from the Security Investigation Agency ( Ministry of Public Security ) regarding the indictment of Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc, Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Department has sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the leadership personnel situation of the institute.

Based on the regulations on disciplinary action against officials, civil servants, and public employees, the Board of Directors of the Department of Health held a meeting and unanimously agreed to temporarily suspend Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc from his duties and position.
At the same time, the Department assigned Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine, to be in charge of managing operations, conducting financial transactions, and performing the duties of the director until an official decision is made by the competent authority.
Currently, the Institute of Traditional Medicine continues to operate normally. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health continues to monitor and update new information from relevant agencies, and promptly report the situation to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Previously, the Ministry of Public Security arrested and detained Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc, Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City, in connection with a "fraudulent appropriation of property" case. Police searched Mr. Loc's residence in an apartment building on Nguyen Van Troi Street (Ward 8, Phu Nhuan District).
Dr. Huynh Nguyen Loc (43 years old, from Ben Tre province) is a doctor specializing in Traditional Medicine and has served as the Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City from mid-2015 to the present.
