The investment and trade promotion delegation of Vinh Long province worked with the government of Anyang city, South Korea.

On the afternoon of October 28, the delegation of Vinh Long province to promote investment and trade in the Korean market, led by Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, came to work with the Anyang City government. Mr. Choi Dea Ho - Mayor of Anyang City received and worked with the delegation.

Informing the Anyang City government about the economic development situation of Vinh Long province, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee said that Korean investors are currently contributing an important part to the total foreign direct investment (FDI) capital of the province.

Of the total 176 FDI projects operating in the province, Korea has 36 projects, with a total investment capital of over 354 million USD. In terms of trade, Vinh Long province's export turnover to Korea in the first 9 months of this year reached 47.33 million USD, up 22.46% over the same period in 2024; import turnover from Korea reached 49 million USD.

Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi emphasized: "After the merger, Vinh Long province possesses many outstanding advantages in the fields of industrial infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture , culture and tourism, education and training. Based on the strengths of the two localities, we wish to promote the friendly relationship between Vinh Long province and Anyang city, cooperation in a number of fields including industry and high technology, science and research and development, education and training, industrial infrastructure development and green industry. With the increasingly strong Vietnam - Korea relationship, we believe that the cooperation between Vinh Long province and Anyang city will develop substantially and sustainably".

Mr. Choi Dea Ho - Mayor of Anyang City expressed his joy and wished the delegation of Vinh Long province much success when working in localities in Korea, including Anyang City.

The Mayor of Anyang City expressed his belief that the meeting would be an important step forward for the harmonious and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two localities. He hoped to cooperate in many fields such as culture, education and technology. The Anyang City Government will strengthen relations with Vinh Long Province in the coming time.
