The Front Committee and branches and organizations of Area 2 (Hung Loi), Tan An ward, signed a competition agreement for 2026.
The people of Area 2 (Hung Loi), Tan An Ward, have always actively responded to emulation movements and campaigns such as: "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas", "All people protect national security", and participated in improving the criteria for a civilized urban ward...
Thanks to these movements, many roads and alleys have been widened, and many public works have been completed. During the year, the Front Committee launched an initiative to improve the model of "Model residential area in security, order, environmental sanitation, and urban civilization" in alley 22 Tran Hoang Na, with a total value of over 400 million VND. Activities to maintain hygiene and protect the environment; collecting and sorting household waste according to regulations were carried out regularly, with a total of 58 environmental sanitation campaigns and over 869 participants. The Women's Association launched the "5 No's and 3 Cleanliness" model, focusing on clean houses and clean streets. The Youth Union regularly organized environmental sanitation activities, removing illegal advertising signs from utility poles and walls, and collecting garbage from spontaneous garbage dumps in the area. Typical models that have been embraced and effectively maintained by the people include "Model Residential Area," "Bright, Green, Clean, Beautiful, and Safe Alleyways," "Security Cameras," and "Families with 5 Cleanliness Standards and 3 Cleanliness Standards"... The "All People Protect National Security" movement has helped the area maintain security and order for many years.
The Party Committee, People's Committee, Front Committee, and local branches and organizations focused on mobilizing resources to care for and support poor households to improve their lives by introducing job opportunities and assisting with loan procedures from the Social Policy Bank. During the year, 185 households were introduced to loans from the Social Policy Bank totaling over 3 billion VND; the Women's Association maintained a savings group with a total loan disbursement of over 60 million VND; and efforts were made to build and repair 4 "Great Solidarity" houses for near-poor households and households with housing difficulties in the area, totaling 180 million VND (of which the ward's Fund for the Poor contributed 140 million VND, with the remainder contributed by the families and benefactors).
Mr. Nguyen Cong Quyen, Head of the Front Committee for Area 2 (Hung Loi), Tan An Ward, said: “To date, the area only has 1 poor household and 14 near-poor households. Tax collection and other fund sources have all met the assigned targets; fundraising from the people: For the Poor, Gratitude and Repayment, Disaster Prevention and Control have all reached 100% of the targets. In particular, the campaign to support people in the North in overcoming the consequences of typhoon No. 10, the campaign to support Cuba, and the Month of Action for the Poor raised over 30 million VND.”
The spirit of mutual support and assistance in times of difficulty has been fostered by the people in the area. For example, two households with particularly difficult circumstances, those of Ms. Truong Thi Det and Ms. La Kim Cuc, have received support of 300,000 VND per month from benefactors mobilized by the Red Cross branch, becoming humanitarian aid recipients since 2020. The Education Promotion Association mobilized donations of 320 gifts for disadvantaged students, totaling over 26 million VND. The Front Committee promptly visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and households facing difficulties, especially the elderly and revolutionary veterans, during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). They coordinated the donation of over 160 gifts, worth 49.5 million VND, and over 1,000 kg of rice to these groups. Mrs. Mai Thi Sieng, 75 years old, confided: "My husband suffered a stroke, and I sell lottery tickets. Neighbors and the local government have shown concern and provided assistance, giving gifts during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), which has helped a little."
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Party Secretary and Head of Area 2 (Hung Loi), the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement is spreading strongly, with the percentage of culturally exemplary families reaching over 95%, and the area maintaining its status as a culturally exemplary zone for many consecutive years; political security and social order are ensured, creating a stable, safe, and friendly living environment for the people. The area will continue to maintain and promote the achievements in the coming years.
