My Phuoc - Tan Van section will be invested as an independent project using budget capital.

The Ministry of Transport has just announced that 15.3km of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3, which overlaps the My Phuoc - Tan Van section, has been proposed to be invested in as a new independent project using central budget capital.

5.3km of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 overlaps My Phuoc - Tan Van section

The investment project to build Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is divided into 8 component projects and assigned to the People's Committees of the localities: Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An as the managing agencies to implement the investment.

Of which, a 15.3km long section in Binh Duong province has not been invested in, taking advantage of My Phuoc - Tan Van road to close the Ring Road 3.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, this road section is currently operating with a scale of 6 lanes, the intersections on the route are at the same level, not ensuring the capacity for a large number of vehicles when Ring Road 3 is put into operation in 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City residents are hoping that the My Phuoc - Tan Van section will soon be upgraded and renovated to improve traffic capacity and synchronously exploit the entire Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.

Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport said that recently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province has proposed to form a new project using the remaining central budget capital from other component projects of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, and at the same time supplement the central budget capital to have enough to arrange for project implementation.

Based on the proposal, the Ministry of Transport met with the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, agreed and proposed that local authorities report to the Prime Minister to assign the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to implement the investment in the above section into a new project operating independently.
