Quang Ninh Coal Mining Group: Responding to the 90-day labor and production emulation movement in the fourth quarter of 2024.

On the afternoon of October 16th, the Quang Ninh Coal Mining Youth Union held a conference to review its work during the first nine months of the year, implement tasks for the fourth quarter, and summarize the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. Attending and directing the conference were Comrade Nguyen The Minh - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union; and Comrade Pham Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Coal Mining Party Committee.

The Quang Ninh Coal Mining Youth Union held a review meeting on its work during the first nine months of the year, outlined tasks for the fourth quarter, and summarized the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. In the first nine months of the year, the activities of the Quang Ninh Coal Mining Youth Union at all levels have been innovative, practical, and suitable to the actual conditions, meeting the needs and aspirations of a large number of Youth Union members. Propaganda and education work continued to be effectively implemented with over 750 news articles published; over 20 activities were organized to commemorate historical events; 36 young talents and 45 advanced youths were honored for following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2023. The entire Youth Union organized the donation of over 1,250 units of blood; over 100 environmental sanitation campaigns were conducted, attracting more than 4,500 Youth Union members; and over 69,000 trees and fruit trees of various types were planted. The entire Youth Union had 42 projects and 203 initiatives with a value of 287 million VND in benefits; implemented 21 projects at the TQN Youth Union level; 243 projects at the grassroots and branch levels; 308 youth management and participation models; conducted 84 inspections and coordinated inspections on occupational safety and health and security with 622 Youth Union members participating. In particular, in response to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3, the TQN Youth Union directed its affiliated Youth Union branches to mobilize over 5,000 Youth Union members to actively participate in post-typhoon recovery efforts, helping units quickly return to normal production; provided financial support to affected units totaling 40 million VND; and donated 25 million VND to the people of Cao Bang province. During the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, over 1,560 news articles were published. Ten entries were submitted to the "Volunteer Moments" competition; one professional training course was organized; and 108 outstanding youth union members were recommended to the Party for consideration for membership. During the campaign, 24 grassroots-level projects and over 300 branch-level projects were implemented; over 90 environmental sanitation campaigns were organized; 10,000 new trees and fruit trees of various types were planted; numerous social welfare projects were carried out, supporting young people and children with a total budget of nearly 1 billion VND; in coordination with the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Corporation Youth Union, two voluntary blood donation drives were organized with over 600 youth union members donating 540 units of blood; four youth volunteer teams were established with over 80 youth union members participating in the "Supporting the Exam Season" campaign; and 18 sports competitions were organized with over 970 youth union members participating... Comrade Nguyen The Minh - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Provincial Youth Union, delivered a directive speech at the conference. In his speech, Comrade Nguyen The Minh requested that all levels of the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union review and complete the targets and plans for 2024; prepare for the Party Congresses at all levels and the mid-term review of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels; focus on disseminating information about policies to improve the lives of young workers; educate Youth Union members on lifestyle and ethics, ensuring compliance with the law and avoiding social vices; promote initiatives, technical improvements, and rationalization of production; and strongly promote the pioneering, volunteer, and creative role of young people in participating in production and business. Comrade Pham Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Ninh Coal Company, directed the Quang Ninh Coal Company Youth Union to promote the role of young people in production activities, ensuring occupational safety and environmental protection. Regarding the orientation of activities for the fourth quarter of 2024, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Ninh Coal Company Pham Hong Thai requested that all levels of the Quang Ninh Coal Company Youth Union effectively organize emulation activities and implement youth projects and tasks to celebrate major holidays of the Party, the country, Quang Ninh province, and the industry; improve the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work of the Youth Union at all levels; strengthen political and ideological education, revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle education for young people; promote the role of young people in production activities, complete production and business plans, and ensure occupational safety and environmental protection... Comrade Hoang Viet Phuong outlined the key tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024. At the conference, the youth union branches under the Quang Ninh Coal Mining Youth Union signed commitments to participate in the 90-day labor and production emulation movement for the fourth quarter of 2024.
