Son La athletes won 13 medals at the Taekwondo Championship

According to information from the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, the Son La athlete delegation competing in the National Youth Taekwondo Championship - CJ 2023 (taking place from July 9 to 13 in Hanoi) won 13 medals of various types.

The Son La delegation participating in this tournament has 2 coaches and 23 athletes, competing in different age groups and weight categories. At the end of the tournament, the Son La Taekwondo delegation won 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 8 bronze medals.

Athlete Tran Thi Anh Tho won gold medal in 36kg category.

The National Youth Taekwondo Championship – CJ 2023 is organized by the CJ Group of Korea (which has supported the development of Taekwondo in Vietnam since 2012) in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation. The tournament is attended by more than 1,000 athletes and coaches from 45 teams nationwide. Athletes compete in 4 age groups in 2 categories of form and combat corresponding to each age group.

Athlete Lo Ngoc Son won gold medal in 33kg category.
