At Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Company Limited, the “say no to cigarettes” movement has become a part of the corporate culture. Right from the recruitment stage, the company has promoted and encouraged employees not to smoke. In the factory and production area, there are signs prohibiting smoking, and the company has arranged a separate area for those who have this habit, both to ensure public health and to maintain labor discipline.

Chairman of the Trade Union of Formosa Ha Tinh Company Ho Sy Quoc said: “The movement of 'saying no to cigarettes' does not stop at regulations, but has become a good habit of the majority of workers. We regularly organize competitions to learn about the harmful effects of cigarettes, and invite medical experts to directly advise. As a result, many workers have successfully quit smoking, thereby improving their health and significantly increasing their productivity. In particular, a cleaner and more civilized working environment has contributed to building the image of Formosa as a responsible, modern, and community-friendly enterprise.”

Similarly, Mr. Chu Van Hon - a worker in the loading and unloading department of Lao - Viet International Port Joint Stock Company, expressed: "Working in a clean, smoke-free environment makes us feel much safer and more comfortable. The company's concern for the health of its workers shows respect, helping us feel secure in our long-term commitment. This also enhances the professional image of the business in the eyes of customers and partners."
