Vietlott's after-tax profit last year reached over VND283 billion, an increase of VND41 billion over the same period. Vietlott contributed nearly VND2,100 billion to local budgets, including: value added tax (10%), special consumption tax (15%), personal income tax from prize winners (10% of the prize value exceeding VND10 million), corporate income tax (20%), other taxes and remaining profits.

After more than 8 years of business, up to now, Vietlott has 6,624 terminals at points of sale in 63 provinces and cities.

This year, the company plans to release new products to serve the legal entertainment needs of Vietnamese people.

Vietlott was established in 2011, owned by the Ministry of Finance with a charter capital of 500 billion VND. The company's headquarters are located in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi . Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dam is currently the Chairman of Vietlott.

At the end of 2022, there was a rumor on social media about a person winning the Vietlott jackpot twice. According to the online community, the award ceremony image posted by Vietlott at that time showed two men holding the prize-winning board with similar hairstyles and body shapes. This information spread quickly and created many conflicting opinions about the transparency of the prize.

Vietlott later officially spoke out about the incident and said the incident affected the reputation and image of the business.

“Vietlott is a 100% state-owned enterprise, managed by the Ministry of Finance. All Vietlott activities comply with the provisions of the law, according to the standards of the World Lottery Association, ensuring honesty, objectivity and transparency,” a Vietlott representative noted.

Vietlott affirms that all Jackpot award ceremonies are transparent and public, with full information on the website, fanpage and mass media. Prize payment records and winner information are also stored in accordance with the law to serve inspection agencies upon request.

The lottery company then emphasized that it would collect evidence and make recommendations to competent state management agencies to clarify the responsibility of news sites and social networking sites that affected its operations.
