This year's contest had 58 contestants, including teachers, students, staff and people from Tien Dien, Nghi Xuan, Co Dam and Dan Hai communes. Each contestant chose a six-eight verse from the Tale of Kieu to express through calligraphy. The contest space was filled with soft, graceful strokes, allowing viewers to admire the beauty of the writing and feel the subtlety and richness of each verse. Right from the first minutes, the exam atmosphere became lively and exciting. Young students diligently completed the exam with passion and innocence. Kindergarten teachers carefully wrote each stroke, meticulously paid attention to every detail, showing respect for traditional culture. Many candidates shared that writing calligraphy about Truyen Kieu was an opportunity for them to express their feelings for literature, while practicing aesthetic skills and patience. Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, Mr. Tran Xuan Luong, and leaders of Tien Dien commune attended and encouraged the contestants. Speaking at the opening ceremony, he emphasized: "The contest is not only a creative playground for teachers, students and people, but also a meaningful activity to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, honoring the masterpiece Truyen Kieu - a precious spiritual heritage of the nation." The contest is also an opportunity for contestants to interact, learn from each other, exchange calligraphy techniques, and be creative in presenting words, creating a community that loves words and Nguyen Du's culture. The graceful, soft strokes on white paper seem to tell the love story of Truyen Kieu through an artistic lens, both traditional and modern. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to two groups: teachers and students. Specifically, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 15 consolation prizes. When the contest ended, the echoes still lingered in the hearts of each contestant and participant. In the homeland of Tien Dien, where the Lam River embraces the ancient village, today's calligraphy is not only an artistic product but also a message of love for culture and respect for the heritage of Nguyen Du and the Tale of Kieu.
