With his talent and dedication, B Ray has affirmed his coaching ability, helping his team's contestants to "transform" and shine on the stage of the Rap Viet season 3 confrontation round (broadcast on HTV2 on the evening of July 15).

24k.Right is a "super monster" who received 4 golden hats from 4 coaches in the conquest round, and Yuno BigBoi once impressed with his warm voice in season 1 of Rap Viet , but when he returned in season 3, he only received 1 choice from coach B Ray. According to B Ray, he chose 24k.Right and Yuno BigBoi to compete because "he wanted to turn the two of them into "golden hat hunters". Actually, I heard rumors that many people thought that Right only shined in round 1 and gradually faded away, and Yuno also had many doubts about his ability in this comeback. So I wanted to put the two of them against each other as a response to all those doubts".

Coach Thai VG said he "really liked this performance, when I looked at 24k.Right I could tell you were like a star. As for Yuno, I've been following you since season 1 and I really like the energy you radiated in this performance". Coach BigDaddy, Andree also gave many compliments and was excited: "Can you perform it for me to see again?"...

Coach Thai VG eagerly concluded: "No matter who wins or loses, I will bring the remaining person to my team!". Coach Andree Right Hand said nothing, just silently... threw the golden hat onto the stage, without waiting for his turn. Immediately after that, the two hats of Coach Thai VG and BigDaddy were thrown onto the stage, making MC Tran Thanh excited: "This is the first performance to receive 3 golden hats in the second round of Rap Viet season 3".

With the votes from the studio audience, Yuno BigBoi had 63 votes, 24k.Right received 37 votes. The judges decided to choose 24k.Right to continue to the next round with coach B Ray. Coach Thai VG and Andree Right Hand continued to compete in the yellow hat battle to recruit Yuno BigBoi. In the end, Yuno BigBoi chose to join coach Thai VG's team.

Add a golden hat to Vietnamese Rice

Combining a contestant who is strong in rap lyrics - LoR with a contestant who possesses a unique musical color - Double2T, B Ray chose a beat mixed with the sounds of the zither and the moon lute to convey the theme of Vietnamese rice grains. The performance was accompanied by artist Cao Ba Hung and assisted by supporting singer May Bae. Double2T and LoR made the whole studio dance to each rap.

Coach BigDaddy said: "You two have put folk songs and proverbs into the rap song in a very reasonable way, you have sketched a beautiful panorama of Vietnamese farmers. Thank you very much!". Judge JustaTee shared: "I thank you two very much for bringing folk materials into the song, you have helped the predecessors convey the best of Vietnam to the next generations as well as help international friends know more".

LoR received 64 points and Double2T 36 points. The judges decided that LoR would be the one to move on to the next round because of the obvious improvement in skills. When MC Tran Thanh announced that Double2T would continue to compete in the 8Bar round, the whistle sounded from Coach BigDaddy's seat with the declaration: "This golden hat was originally intended for someone else, but Double2T showed me that you deserve it!". And, Double2T became a member of Coach BigDaddy's team.

With the match between CAPTAIN and UMIE, Coach B Ray wanted to create a song that would "hit" the Gen Z generation - showing how lovely the young love of the dreamy age is. In the voting part from the studio audience, CAPTAIN and UMIE were quite evenly matched when CAPTAIN received 57 points and UMIE received 43 points. The judges chose CAPTAIN to move on with team B Ray and UMIE to round 8 bars (rescue match).

Huynh Cong Hieu (Dick) – DT Rap (right) in the performance Who are you?

An equally interesting pair in team B Ray is Huynh Cong Hieu - DT Tap Rap. Huynh Cong Hieu (rap name: Dick) specializes in rapping on beats with a sad tone, while DT Tap Rap is the opposite, possessing youthful, positive energy. Huynh Cong Hieu commented: "It is because of those contrasts that create the rich diversity of the rap song Who are you? ". Judge Suboi commented: "This song balances artistry and entertainment". Huynh Cong Hieu received 71 votes and 29 votes for DT Tap Rap. The 3 judges decided to choose Huynh Cong Hieu to continue to the Breakthrough round. DT Tap Rap competed in the 8 bar round.

Choosing the jackpot topic, DT Tap Rap won convincingly in round 8 bars, gaining the right to continue with coach B Ray to the next round of Rap Viet season 3.

At the end of episode 8, Team B Ray has 6 members: Dlow (from Team Andree), LoR, Huynh Cong Hieu, CAPTAIN, 24k.Right and DT Tap Rap. Double2T becomes a member of Coach BigDaddy's team and Yuno BigBoi will "move house" to Coach Thai VG's team. Episode 9 of Rap Viet season 3, broadcast on the evening of July 22, will be the debut of Coach Thai VG's team.
