Vietnam women's sepak takraw team won silver medal at world championship

(Dan Tri) - In the final match of the women's team event of the 2025 Sepak Takraw World Championship, the Vietnamese women's Sepak Takraw team lost 0-2 to host Thailand.

The final match took place on the evening of July 26. This was the first time the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team had reached the final match of the team event of the world championship.

However, facing a very strong Thai team, the Vietnamese girls could not create any surprise.

In the first regu (game), the Thai women's sepak takraw team showed dominance, before they quickly won this regu with a score difference of 15-7.

Entering the second set, despite their best efforts, the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team still could not make things difficult for their opponents. We lost the second set with a score of 7-15. In the end, the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team lost 0-2 (7-15 and 7-15).

The World Championship for the King's Cup takes place from July 22 to July 27, at the stadium in the Hat Yai shopping mall, Songkhla (Thailand).
