Vietnam women's team gathers

Under the guidance of Coach Mai Duc Chung, the list of 25 athletes from the localities has been sent to the Department of Sports and Physical Training for decision. Coach Mai Duc Chung will continue to be assisted by experienced coaches such as Doan Minh Hai, fitness expert Cedric Sege Christian Roger and two young assistants, former national players Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh and Dang Kieu Trinh.

The players will have their first training session on the afternoon of May 6 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center with the coaching staff. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players have 10 days to prepare for the international friendly match between the Vietnam women's team and Werder Bremen women's club.

This international friendly match is part of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. Previously, on May 12, the national women's players were scheduled to have a friendly match with the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, who are currently training in Hanoi .

At the end of phase 1 of the first training session in 2025, the Vietnamese women's team will depart for Japan for training, from June 8 to June 18.

After this overseas training trip, the Vietnamese women's team will move to Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ) to continue training and compete in the 2026 Asian Women's Championship qualifiers, with Group E matches taking place here from June 29 to July 5.
