On the afternoon of June 6, with the majority of delegates in favor, the National Assembly agreed to pass the Resolution to elect Vice President of the National Assembly for comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh.

Specific voting results: 467 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 95.89% of the total number of delegates); of which 465 delegates approved (equal to 95.48% of the total number of delegates) to vote to pass the Resolution to elect Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh was born on February 10, 1967 in Yen Nhan commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh has a Bachelor of Political Theory, Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh is an alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee; member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; and a National Assembly delegate of the 13th, 14th and 15th terms.

From May 2021 to present, he is: Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Party Delegation, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; President of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association; President of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Parliamentarians' Group; Vice President of the Vietnam Women's National Assembly Delegates' Group; Member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.

On June 6, 2024, at the seventh session of the 15th National Assembly, comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh was elected by the National Assembly to the position of Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
