To prepare for the 23rd session - the last regular session of the Provincial People's Council in 2024, on the afternoon of November 15th, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with the delegation of the Provincial People's Council and the Uong Bi City People's Council, held a meeting with voters in Phuong Dong ward, Uong Bi City.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council delegation, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, provided a general overview to all voters in Phuong Dong ward regarding the program of the year-end regular session of the Provincial People's Council; and the results of resolving the petitions of voters in Uong Bi City submitted to the mid-year regular session of 2024 and previous sessions of the Provincial People's Council.
Regarding the socio-economic situation in 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: In 2024, amidst a mix of opportunities and advantages intertwined with numerous difficulties and challenges, with the determination, effort, unity, and concerted efforts of the entire political system, all levels and sectors, the people, and the business community, the socio-economic situation in 2024 achieved many important results in various fields. Before, during, and immediately after Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), Quang Ninh proactively and decisively led, directed, and effectively implemented measures to prevent, respond to, and mitigate the consequences of the typhoon; promptly addressing and supporting people and businesses to stabilize their lives and restore production and business. The economy continued its growth momentum. The service and tourism sectors achieved many important results, with a total of 19 million tourists (3 million international visitors), a 22% increase compared to the same period. The province aims to achieve a state budget revenue of 55,600 billion VND, fulfilling the provincial target. Voters in Phuong Dong ward expressed joy and enthusiasm at the achievements of the province. To continue building the province and Uong Bi city for sustainable development, delegates proposed several solutions such as: improving the quality of activities of mass organizations; continuing to support non-specialized officials; requesting support for resources to accelerate the progress of the inner-city road project connecting the Tue Tinh intersection (Thanh Son ward) with Yen Tu road (Phuong Dong ward); and renovating and upgrading the rural road system...

Provincial People's Council representatives and Uong Bi City People's Council representatives seriously and fully considered the opinions of voters, and also discussed and clarified some opinions within their authority.
