Contributions of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province at the 8th Session, 15th National Assembly

Participating in the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province made many contributions, discussions, and recommendations on many important contents for law-making work as well as contributing solutions to overcome difficulties, in order to promote the socio -economic development of the country and the province.

National Assembly Delegate Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the discussion in groups.

The 8th session of the 15th National Assembly was divided into two concentrated sessions. Session 1, from October 21 to November 13. Session 2, from November 20 to November 30, 2024 in Hanoi . At the session, the National Assembly discussed the assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2024, the planned socio-economic development plan for 2025; at the same time, gave opinions on 13 draft laws and passed 15 draft laws, 4 draft resolutions; conducted questions and answers on 3 groups of issues. With careful and responsible preparation, at the session, the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province participated in the issues discussed by the National Assembly. The National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province had 34 opinions expressed in the group discussion sessions; there were more than 20 opinions expressed in the hall; 3 opinions were expressed at the question and answer session. Many speeches by the National Assembly deputies in the delegation were highly appreciated by the National Assembly and voters.

Expressing high agreement with the groups of tasks and solutions stated in the report on the socio-economic development plan for 2025, National Assembly Deputy Mai Van Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, suggested that the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development need to direct more drastically the restructuring of the agricultural sector towards large-scale commodity production, high added value, associated with building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas. At the same time, overcome the situation of fragmented production, promptly complete documents guiding the implementation of the Land Law 2024, especially documents under the authority of localities, to accelerate the process of land accumulation and concentration, expand production scale, apply high technology, and practice good production in agriculture. Research and consider adding capital to support the implementation of the national target program for communes that have not met the new rural standards, especially communes in mountainous, remote and isolated areas that still face many difficulties...

Assessing the results of the implementation of the 2024 socio-economic development plan, National Assembly Deputy Cao Thi Xuan (Thanh Hoa Province National Assembly Delegation), Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, suggested that the Government pay attention and provide direction in implementing national target programs. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to investing in the construction of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, especially solving the situation of spontaneous migration, lack of residential land, housing, production land, domestic water... In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the forest development policy associated with livelihoods and increasing income, stabilizing people's lives...

At the session, National Assembly deputies of Thanh Hoa province also participated in discussions and gave opinions on draft laws and resolutions, including: Draft Law on Electricity (amended); Draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance (amended); Draft Law on Data; Draft Law on Teachers; Draft Law on Employment (amended); Draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising; Draft Law on Chemicals (amended); Draft Law on Public Investment (amended); Draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army... In which, many contents received in-depth and highly constructive comments from the participating deputies, which were recognized and highly appreciated by the National Assembly and were studied and absorbed by the drafting committee.

Not only stopping at the scope of opinions in the discussion sessions in groups and halls, with close attention and understanding of reality, the National Assembly Deputies of the province actively participated in the question and answer sessions at the meeting. The delegates of the National Assembly Delegation of the province frankly mentioned the "hot" issues in the economic and social life of the country, such as: Overcoming and having fundamental solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, creating conditions for enterprises and cooperatives to access credit capital better; having solutions to stabilize and manage the gold market; pointing out the difficulties, challenges, and advantages in operating monetary policy and banking activities... In addition to participating in the main activities of the 8th Session, the National Assembly Deputies of the province also spent time participating in other activities, such as: attending the meetings of the National Assembly Committees of which the delegates are members and many other conferences and seminars; Responding to interviews from news agencies, newspapers and television stations on pressing issues of concern to voters nationwide. Along with that, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation took the opportunity to discuss and work with leaders of central ministries and branches to propose and resolve difficulties and obstacles, seek help from ministries and branches and exchange experiences with a number of leaders and National Assembly Delegations of other provinces and cities to promote the socio-economic development of the province.

The activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly contributed to the overall success of the session; the National Assembly Deputies demonstrated their role as representatives of the will and aspirations of the People, truly being a bridge between the Party, the State and the People, between the National Assembly and voters, worthy of the trust of voters in the province.
