Dong Nai province commences construction on a 2.659 billion VND road connecting the seaport with Long Thanh Airport.

The 8.8 km long inter-port road will connect the seaports in the Nhon Trach area with Long Thanh International Airport.

On September 27th, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province commenced the construction of the inter-port road project (phase 1).

The route is over 15 km long, with its starting point connecting to the road leading to the Ong Keo Industrial Zone and its end point connecting to the road leading to the Viet Thuan Thanh port.

In phase 1, Dong Nai province will invest in 8.8 km of roads with 4-8 lanes and build 5 bridges.

The project has a total investment of 2,659 billion VND from the provincial budget. The contract stipulates a construction period of 36 months, but the consortium of contractors aims to reduce it to 30 months and strives to complete and put it into operation by the end of March 2028.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, emphasized that the inter-port road is a key project, creating momentum for Nhon Trach urban area to break through and become a new growth pole of Dong Nai and the Southern key economic region.

The road is being invested in to connect the seaports in the Nhon Trach area to Long Thanh International Airport. When the airport begins its first phase of operation in 2026, it will contribute to the formation of a chain of ports, logistics centers, industrial zones, and riverside urban areas.

The project also helps connect the road network between seaports in Dai Phuoc commune, creating favorable conditions for businesses to invest in industrial zones.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, in coordination with investors, commenced construction on seven social housing projects, including: Social housing areas ChC1 and ChC2 in Phuoc Tan ward; social housing area in Tam Hiep ward; social housing apartment complex on a 2.1-hectare plot in Phuoc An commune; social housing apartment complex on a 3.7-hectare plot in Phuoc An commune; social housing on a 3.5-hectare plot in Trang Bom commune; social housing on a 2.85-hectare plot in Ho Nai ward; and a social housing project in Tan Trieu ward.
