On November 7, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Construction regarding the registration of the inauguration project to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 9584/BXD-KTQLDT dated September 8, 2025 of the Ministry of Construction on reviewing, registering the inauguration and commencement of large-scale projects and works, meaningful to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province has directed departments, branches, sectors and localities to review projects and works in the province.
After reviewing, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province registered two projects to be inaugurated to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, including the project to upgrade National Highway 30, Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section, Dong Thap province (phase 3) and the project to preserve, embellish and promote the value of Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site.
In particular, the Project to upgrade National Highway 30, Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section, Dong Thap province (phase 3) is invested by Dong Thap Department of Construction. The goal is to complete the project to upgrade National Highway 30, Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section, Dong Thap province in order to gradually complete the traffic planning approved by the Prime Minister, becoming an important horizontal axis connecting with main traffic axes such as: National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh road, route N1, Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City expressway, An Huu - Cao Lanh expressway... connecting urban areas and industrial zones along the route to create a continuous position in attack and defense, creating a driving force for socio -economic development, ensuring security and defense of Dong Thap province in particular and provinces in the Mekong Delta region in general; minimizing traffic accidents on the route.
The project has a route length of about 14.564 km, a level II traffic project, a design speed of 80 km/h, a roadbed width of Bnền/Bmặt = 12m/1lm, asphalt concrete surface (high grade Al) ensuring Eyc > 140Mpa; along with the construction of 13 new bridges on the route.
The project has a total investment of 912,326 billion VND from the central budget.

The project to preserve, restore and promote the value of Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site, invested by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap, has a total investment of 145,106 billion VND; of which, the central budget is 111,613 billion VND, the local budget is 33,493 billion VND.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, currently, the items of the relic site have degraded and need to be invested in, restored, and embellished to meet the increasing visiting needs of people at home and abroad in order to further promote the historical and cultural values of the Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site. According to the wishes of the people, Dong Thap province is implementing the project to restore, embellish, and promote the value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site to pay tribute to the great contributions of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac, aiming to raise the value of the relic site to become a special national relic site.
