Brazil and Vietnam are the two largest coffee producers in the world, accounting for nearly 50% of global output. Meanwhile, the European Union and the United States are the largest coffee consuming and importing markets.

According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee production in the 2023/2024 crop year is expected to decrease by 20% compared to the forecast, especially in major producing countries such as Vietnam and Brazil. In addition, the development of the food and beverage industry in major markets such as the US, Europe and China also boosts the demand for coffee imports.
