Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai province remained stable, unchanged compared to the previous trading session. Currently, the pepper purchase price in this locality is at 151,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc have a stable trend compared to yesterday, currently the pepper price purchased by traders in the two localities is 151,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong continued to increase compared to yesterday, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg. Currently, traders are purchasing pepper in these two localities at 153,000 VND/kg.

Experts say the domestic pepper market has seen a continuous up and down trend, but fluctuations remain within a narrow range compared to many previous sideways sessions. Although this year’s output is still limited, domestic purchasing prices have not met expectations, making pepper growers more cautious in bringing their products to market.

Global pepper prices continue to remain high due to tight supply after the harvest season and expectations of strong consumption growth from major markets such as the Middle East and Europe in the second quarter; supply from Brazil is disadvantaged due to weather. However, the expected increase is not large, only about 500 to 1,000 VND/kg and depends largely on exchange rates and logistics costs.

However, the current trend is still quite cautious, with prices mostly flat or fluctuating slightly. Compared to the same period in 2024, pepper prices this year have increased, but that is still not enough to encourage farmers to expand new planting areas. According to data from the General Department of Customs, in April 2025, Vietnam exported 26,430 tons of pepper worth 184.14 million USD, an increase of more than 31% in both volume and value compared to the previous month.

In the first four months of the year, Vietnam exported 73,650 tons of pepper, earning 508.36 million USD. Although output decreased by 11.3% compared to the same period last year, the value increased by 44.4%, reflecting the trend of significantly higher export prices.

Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,252 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 9,983 USD/ton.

The Malaysian pepper market remains stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,200 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,900 USD/ton.

Pepper prices in Brazil remained stable, with little change compared to the previous trading session. The current purchase price is 6,800 USD/ton.

The Vietnamese pepper market continues to move sideways and stabilize. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,700 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,800 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,700 USD/ton.
