Domestic pepper prices today - the market is rising again.
Today's pepper price was updated at 4:30 a.m. on May 28, 2025 as follows: The domestic market regained its upward momentum, increasing by 1,000 - 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday; only pepper price in Binh Phuoc remained stable. Currently, the average pepper purchase price in key areas is 147,400 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai province fluctuated and increased again, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session, currently the pepper purchasing price in this locality is at 147,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau also increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently the pepper purchasing price in this locality is at 147,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong increased again compared to yesterday's trading session, an increase of 1,500 VND/kg. Currently, traders are purchasing pepper in these two localities at a price of 148,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Binh Phuoc continued to remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, pepper prices in this locality are being purchased by traders at 147,000 VND/kg.

On the morning of May 28, the domestic pepper market increased again, currently the domestic pepper price fluctuates around 147,000 - 148,000 VND/kg. Domestic pepper prices increased by a slight margin, this is a positive signal for garden owners and traders who are waiting for the domestic pepper momentum to break out.
According to experts, in the short term, pepper purchasing prices may continue to fluctuate within a narrow range, depending on the export speed and the stockpiling trend of processing enterprises as well as international traders.
According to statistics, while Vietnam's pepper export volume is continuously decreasing, its main competitors, especially Indonesia, are recording strong growth. Recent export growth shows the great potential of the Indonesian pepper industry in the global market.

Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) cited data from ITC saying that in the first 3 months of 2025, total global pepper imports reached 80,620 tons, down 8.1% compared to the same period in 2024 but up 6.1% compared to the same period in 2023 (updated data is incomplete and does not include Vietnam).
Of which, the US is the largest import market with a volume of 21,586 tons, up 8.7% and accounting for 26.8% of the market share. Next is India with 10,661 tons, up 45.9% and accounting for 13.2%; Germany: 6,380 tons, up 30.3% and accounting for 7.9%; France: 3,651 tons, up 10.6%... Notably, China reached 1,934 tons, up 108%.

World pepper prices today - sideways market.
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 4:30 a.m. on May 28, 2025 as follows: pepper markets in various countries continue to be stable, sideways and anchored at a high level compared to yesterday's trading session.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,470 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,185 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market remains stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,150 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,850 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil remained stable, with little change compared to the previous trading session. The current purchase price is 6,650 USD/ton.
The Vietnamese pepper market continues to move sideways and stabilize. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,700 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,800 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,700 USD/ton.

According to VPSA, in April 2025, Vietnam exported 26,590 tons of pepper of all kinds, including 23,271 tons of black pepper and 3,319 tons of white pepper, with a total export turnover of 184.1 million USD. On the other hand, in April 2025, Vietnam imported 5,688 tons of pepper of all kinds, with a total import turnover of 36.7 million USD.
