Robusta Coffee Price London May 28, 2025

On the London floor, at 4:30 a.m. on May 28, 2025, at the end of the trading session, Robusta coffee prices suddenly turned sharply down after yesterday's price increase, decreasing from 80 - 94 USD/ton, fluctuating from 4,609 - 4,800 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery price for July 2025 is 4,696 USD/ton; the delivery price for September 2025 is 4,692 USD/ton; the delivery price for November 2025 is 4,670 USD/ton and the delivery price for January 2026 is 4,614 USD/ton.

Arabica coffee price on New York floor on May 28, 2025

In contrast, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor in the early morning of May 28 increased slightly compared to yesterday's trading session, increasing from 0.70 - 1.20 cents/lb, fluctuating from 343.30 - 364.85 cents/lb. Specifically, the delivery period in July 2025 is 361.70 cents/lb; the delivery period in September 2025 is 359.45 cents/lb; the delivery period in December 2025 is 355.10 cents/lb and the delivery period in March 2026 is 349.85 cents/lb.

Brazilian Arabica coffee price on May 28, 2025

At the end of the trading session, the price of Brazilian Arabica coffee increased slightly compared to the previous trading session, fluctuating between 439.05 - 453.05 USD/ton. Recorded as follows: July 2025 delivery period is 453.05 USD/ton; September 2025 delivery period is 445.95 USD/ton; December 2025 delivery period is 434.00 and March 2026 delivery period is 439.05 USD/ton.

Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day) Vietnam time. Arabica coffee traded on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day) Vietnam time. For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day) Vietnam time.

Domestic coffee prices - market increases again.

According to information from Giacaphe.com, updated at 4:30 a.m. today, May 28, 2025, coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces suddenly increased again, an increase of 1,200 - 1,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session. Currently, the average coffee purchase price in key areas is at 123,700 VND/kg.

Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is 123,700 VND/kg, coffee price in Lam Dong is 123,200 VND/kg, coffee price in Gia Lai is 123,700 VND/kg and coffee price in Dak Nong today is 123,900 VND/kg.

The domestic coffee prices that Giacaphe.com lists every day are calculated based on the prices of two world coffee exchanges combined with continuous surveys from businesses and purchasing agents in key coffee growing areas across the country.

Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 28, 2025

According to experts, domestic coffee prices increased slightly today thanks to signs of recovery from the international market, but pressure from global supply remains.

In the short term, if international prices continue to recover, domestic prices may increase further, but growers should still closely monitor price and weather developments to decide when to sell.

Favorable weather in Vietnam (good rains forecast to support the new crop) could continue to influence prices. Vietnam’s coffee output in 2024-2025 is forecast to decline by 5-15% due to the impact of El Nino, which could support prices in the long term.

For the world market, the reason for the recent decline and lack of fluctuations in coffee prices is due to the sharp increase in coffee inventories on the ICE exchange. As of the end of last week, Robusta inventories reached an 8-month high of 5,438 lots, while Arabica inventories also increased to 886,590 bags, the highest in nearly 4 months.

Another factor weighing on prices is demand concerns. Several major companies, including Starbucks, Hershey and Mondelez International, have said that a 10% basic import tariff in the US could increase retail prices and reduce global demand for roasted coffee. This raises the risk that despite increased supply, the market will face downward pressure on prices due to slowing consumption.

Vietnam currently maintains its second position thanks to its large Robusta growing area and stable output of about 1.8 million tons per year. However, facing competitive pressure from rising rivals, the domestic coffee industry is forecast to need strong innovation to maintain its position.
