On the afternoon of May 26, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) organized a "Conference on implementing the Protocol on exporting rice bran to China for use as raw material for animal feed". According to Mr. Duong Tat Thang, Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, China is the largest consumer market for agricultural products of Vietnam, especially in the fields of fruits, seafood, and animal feed. Vietnam has the Mekong Delta as the rice granary of Asia and the world, with an estimated rice bran output of about 4 million tons per year. In addition to serving the domestic livestock market, Vietnam has the potential to export to serve the Chinese market. Based on that reality, the former Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, has taken advantage of every opportunity to negotiate the export of advantageous products; including rice bran.

The Laborer newspaper has an article: "Lychee at the beginning of the season is sold for 60,000 VND/kg".
Early season lychees are being retailed in Hanoi at a very high price of 60,000 VND/kg. Ms. Hoa, a fruit vendor on Doi Can Street, Hanoi, said that lychees are being sold at 55,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
Early season lychee prices are 15-20% higher than the average of previous years. |
The lychees are in high demand because they are early in the season, but the price is high, so Ms. Nga divides them into small bunches weighing 1-1.5 kg. Moreover, the characteristics of early-season lychees are slightly sour and juicy, so customers buy them mainly to try.
Lychee is sold on online markets at a cheaper price, only 35,000-40,000 VND/kg and most of the sellers advertise that there are only small quantities.

An ninh Thu do newspaper reported: "Vietnamese semi-trailers are exported to Canada without being subject to trade defense taxes".
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has just announced the conclusion of its investigation into the case of anti-evasion of trade remedies (PVTM) duties on some semi-trailers imported from Vietnam. According to the CBSA's conclusion, semi-trailers imported from Vietnam do not have acts of evading the PVTM measures currently applied to similar products imported from China. This conclusion is unchanged from the preliminary conclusion issued last April.
According to the Trade Remedies Authority (Ministry of Industry and Trade), this conclusion means that Vietnamese manufacturing/exporting enterprises can continue to export semi-trailers to Canada without being subject to trade remedies tax, thereby helping to maintain stable and legal trade activities in this market.
