A yacht moored on the Vam Co Tay River was emitting smoke, suspected to have caught fire due to an electrical short circuit. This is also a yacht that has attracted much attention because it has been moored here for more than half a year but has not been in operation.

At noon on May 12, a yacht anchored on the Vam Co Tay River in the Tan An Wharf area, opposite Hoang Hoa Tham Park, Ward 1, Tan An City, Long An Province, was emitting smoke, showing signs of fire.

According to initial information, at around 12 o'clock, the area under the ship's hold began to smoke and there was a small explosion, suspected to be an electrical short circuit. At this time, the vehicle owner went down to check and quickly cut off the power source; at the same time, contacted the Fire Police force for assistance.

Afterwards, the Fire Police force arrived promptly and extinguished the fire. The fire did not cause any damage to people or property.

The yacht is owned by Vietnam Event Travel Joint Stock Company, Long An branch, the investor of Tan An Wharf project.

The yacht will be anchored from November 2024 - the time when the province organizes the Culture - Sports - Tourism Week. At this time, the yacht was inspected by the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team, requiring the investor to bring the yacht for inspection.

Before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the yacht anchored here until now./.
