Highlight: Germany escaped defeat to Switzerland thanks to a goal in injury time
The Germans were in control of the game but struggled to find the back of the net against a tight Swiss defence. In the 90+2 minute, striker Niclas Fullkrug came off the bench and headed a powerful header to help the "tanks" avoid a disappointing defeat.

"The final period is when we really need Fullkrug's talent, I'm thinking about giving him a start in the round of 16.
However, he did his job very well when coming off the bench. This really needs to be carefully considered," said German coach Nagelsmann.
The German team's attack is considered to be lacking sharpness when only Kai Havertz is chosen to play in the striker position. Fülkrug came on to replace Jamal Musiala in the 76th minute, adding strength to the "tanks"' attacks and it is very likely that this striker will be given a starting position by coach Nagelsmann from the round of 16.
"It was a great goal, that header was not easy. Fuellkrug has another week to show his ability in training, then we will see our opponents in the last 16 and prepare for that game.
We have two days to prepare, maybe the opponent is not very happy about this. The German team is waiting for the opponent in the round of 16 and is determined to win," said coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Germany topped Group A with seven points, followed by Switzerland with five points and Hungary third with three points, while Scotland finished bottom with just one point.
Germany will find out their round of 16 opponents on June 26 when England take on Slovenia and Denmark take on Serbia to complete Group C. The second-placed team in Group C will face hosts Germany in the Euro 2024 round of 16 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund on June 29.
