According to India Today, a cross-border gunfight between the Taliban (Afghanistan) and the Pakistani Army occurred on November 6, while delegations from both sides met in Istanbul (Turkey) to participate in a new round of peace talks to end the conflict.
"The clash that took place near the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province, southern Afghanistan, left at least five people dead and six others injured. The victims included four women and one man," a source said.

"While the third round of talks with Pakistan began in Istanbul on the afternoon of November 6, Pakistani forces once again opened fire on Spin Boldak," said Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.
However, Pakistan denied the accusation and blamed Afghan forces.
"We categorically reject the claims made by the Afghan side. The firing was initiated by the Afghan side and our security forces responded immediately in a measured and responsible manner," Pakistan's Information Ministry said on X network.
The clashes came as the two neighbors continued to accuse each other of sabotaging a fragile ceasefire agreed on October 15.
Security issues are at the heart of the conflict. Islamabad accuses Kabul of harboring Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, who are responsible for attacks inside Pakistan. The Taliban government denies the accusations, saying it has no control over the group's activities.
