The exhibition “The Revolutionary Path – Comrade Ho Chi Minh in China” currently taking place at the Provincial Museum is a vivid visual story about his footsteps in saving the country. At the same time, the exhibition also depicts important milestones in building the foundation for Vietnam-China friendship.

Revolutionary Footprints

The exhibition, which runs from May 16 to June 10, introduces more than 250 precious images, documents, and quotes and is divided into four parts. The first two parts depict President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey in China from 1924 to 1945. Starting from scratch, he built the first revolutionary organizations and joined the Chinese people's resistance movement against Japan to save the country.

Many images show that President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary footprints were imprinted throughout China, such as the founding of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in Guangzhou in 1925 and the Communist Party of Vietnam in Hong Kong in 1930. After that, he continued to operate in localities such as Yunnan, Guangxi, Guilin, Kunming, Chongqing, Jingxi, Liuzhou... At the same time, he joined the Communist Party of China and the people here in the struggle against Japan to save the country, building deep revolutionary sentiment.

Those places not only mark the steadfast journey for national independence but also become "red addresses" in the revolutionary relationship between Vietnam and China.

Viewers were especially impressed by the image of "Ho Chi Minh Cave" or the old Border Marker No. 108 in Manh Ma - both recognized as relics of President Ho Chi Minh's secret activities in Tinh Tay.

Parts 3 and 4 of the exhibition highlight the friendly relationship between the two nations. After Vietnam and China established diplomatic relations in 1950, President Ho Chi Minh visited China many times before his death.

The entire land of China bears his footprints and the deep friendship that he worked hard to cultivate. Many images record the meetings between President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong, such as the photo of a friendly conversation in Beijing (February 1959); in the photo, both leaders are smiling comfortably. Or the images of the meeting in Beidaihe (1958), the meeting in Hangzhou (December 1957)... showing the close bond between the leaders of the two countries.

Besides, there are daily scenes when Uncle Ho visited Xinjiang, took a boat trip on West Lake, visited a farm on Phu Xuan River... Each journey contributed to strengthening the friendship between the two countries.

Vietnam-China friendship

2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China People's Exchange Year.

The exhibition “Revolutionary Path - Comrade Ho Chi Minh in China” not only vividly demonstrates President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey, but also deeply demonstrates his friendship with the Chinese people.

Through valuable images and documents, the exhibition contributes to depicting the close and loyal relationship between the two countries in the revolutionary cause and national construction. This is also a beautiful symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.

This thematic exhibition is also a cooperative activity between the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History (China) and the Ho Chi Minh Museum (Vietnam) since 2006.

Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum - said: In Vietnam, the exhibition has been held in many localities such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Gia Lai... On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19), Ho Chi Minh Museum coordinated with Gia Lai Provincial Museum to organize an exhibition with rich content, authentic images of Uncle Ho and the places where he worked in China.

Through this, viewers can better understand the revolutionary path, foreign policy ideology and great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh in laying the foundation for Vietnam-China relations.

A notable point is that the exhibition attracted special attention from students - those who would have difficulty approaching the topic of history and diplomacy. However, thanks to vivid images and familiar documents, they found inspiring lessons.

Pham Nguyen Phuong Trinh (grade 7, Pham Hong Thai Secondary School, Hoa Lu Ward, Pleiku City) shared: “I have studied history and read many books and newspapers about Uncle Ho, but thanks to this exhibition, I understand more clearly about Uncle Ho's journey in China. I am very proud that my country has a great leader like Uncle Ho.”

Not stopping at being emotional, many students also had quite practical thoughts when asking questions about the mission of the young generation in inheriting and continuing Uncle Ho's revolutionary and diplomatic path.

Do Khai Nghi (grade 11, Le Loi High School, Pleiku City) said: "Seeing pictures of Uncle Ho in China when he was very young, I deeply admire his patriotism and desire for freedom.

Today's young generation needs to make more efforts, overcome difficulties and challenges in life and try to do something that is suitable to their abilities but also useful to the country to contribute to preserving and promoting the revolutionary achievements that Uncle Ho and previous generations sacrificed to gain.

The exhibition is not only a historical slice of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey but also a bridge connecting the friendship between the two countries that has been nurtured and preserved for the past 75 years and is still being continued by generations in the new era of the nation.
