Lien Phuong Road, with a total length of more than 4.3 km, is one of the important traffic axes in the East of Ho Chi Minh City. This road is planned with a common width of about 30 m, equivalent to 4-6 lanes, connecting directly from Cat Lai intersection (intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap - Mai Chi Tho) to Ring Road 2 (Vo Chi Cong). The project's goal is to reduce the increasing traffic pressure and promote inter-regional connectivity.

For many years, the entire route has not been able to be opened due to problems at the last 660m section, connecting from the Vo Nguyen Giap - Mai Chi Tho intersection to The Global City urban area. In October 2024, this section officially started construction with a total investment of 260 billion VND, with Masterise Group as the investor.

The road section is designed with modern technical parameters, including a 60 m wide roadbed, a design speed of 60 km/h and a single axle load of 10 tons, meeting the needs of transporting goods and people. The most important item, the Muong Kinh canal overpass, has also been completed.

When officially opened to traffic, Lien Phuong route will create a complete connecting axis, bringing many economic and social benefits:
