Mr. Hoang Viet Thang's family is a poor household in village 6A, Ea Knop commune. For many years, they had to live in a dilapidated house, always afraid of heavy rain and strong winds. The dream of a solid house became a reality when his family received 80 million VND in support from the central budget and the provincial budget under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

For the family of Ms. H'Bion Byă (Ede ethnic group), a poor household in Ea Sar hamlet, Ea Knop commune, the new house built with support funds from the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas is like a dream. The house has 2 bedrooms and 1 living room, worth over 130 million VND. Of which, the State supported 44 million VND, her family received a preferential loan of 40 million VND, the rest was borrowed from acquaintances and relatives. "With the dream house, my husband and I will try harder to develop the economy and take care of the education of our 2 children," Ms. H'Bion expressed.

Identifying the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses as one of the urgent and key tasks in building new rural areas, Ea Knop commune has established a steering committee, reviewed the housing situation of poor and near-poor households, counted households in need of support and made a list of proposals. The commune steering committee has directed relevant units to actively participate, coordinate with contractors to regularly inspect and supervise construction.
Promoting the role of solidarity, gathering forces, and mobilizing resources, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Knop commune has launched a campaign to support the Fund for the Poor to have funding to support poor households in building Great Unity houses. According to the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Knop commune, Vu Thi Thanh Giang, supporting housing construction is not only materially meaningful, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping poor households overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. During the implementation process, the locality has mobilized community strength, promoted the role of mass organizations to actively propagate and mobilize people to contribute to dismantling old houses, transporting materials, etc. Thereby, not only helping people settle down but also fostering and consolidating the great national unity bloc more and more firmly.

Thanks to the strong direction of the government, the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the joint efforts of the community and businesses, many households in Ea Knop commune have had the opportunity to settle down in new, spacious, warm and affectionate houses. From 2021 to now, from support funds and mobilized contributions, Ea Knop commune has built and repaired 91 houses of Gratitude and 37 houses of Great Solidarity.
