According to EVN's report, the total electricity production and import output of the entire system in October reached 27.26 billion kWh; the accumulated output in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 268.82 billion kWh. Of which, hydropower accounted for 32.6%; coal-fired thermal power 46.2%; gas turbines 6.2%; renewable energy (solar power, wind power) reached 12.1%; imported electricity accounted for 2.7%.
EVN said that in October, two storms No. 11 (Matmo) and No. 12 (Fengshen) caused severe damage to the power system in many localities from the North to the Central region. Immediately after the storms dissipated, EVN mobilized forces to urgently fix the problem, quickly restore power to the affected areas, and ensure absolute safety for people and equipment.
EVN focused on implementing investment and construction work in accordance with the 2025 plan. In 10 months, the Group and its units started 135 projects and completed energizing 172 power grid projects from 110 to 500kV. Many key projects were completed such as: supplying electricity from the national grid to Con Dao special zone; Lao Cai 500kV transformer station and Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV line; Vinh Yen 500kV station and 220kV projects in Phu Binh, Ba Thien...
Regarding power sources, the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project has successfully installed the rotor of Unit 2 and is expected to generate electricity in November 2025. The Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Project has achieved an overall progress of 96.57%, preparing to burn coal for Unit 1 in November and generate electricity in December 2025.
In parallel with production and business tasks, EVN continues to carry out many social security activities with a total value of more than 125 billion VND, of which nearly 50 billion VND supports the program of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", and more than 31 billion VND supports overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in localities.
Entering November 2025, EVN directed units to ensure sufficient electricity supply to serve socio-economic development and people's lives, especially safe and stable electricity supply to serve activities leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party and important political events at the end of the year.
