EVNGENCO1: Safe and stable operation, maintaining growth rate

Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) said that in October 2025, the total electricity output of the Corporation reached 2.4 billion kWh, bringing the cumulative output in 10 months to 28.2 billion kWh.

Ensuring safe and efficient operation

The thermal power sector maintains a high availability factor, the units operate reliably, the number of incidents is reduced compared to the same period in 2024, contributing to improving the stability of the power system. Fuel supply is proactively implemented, the amount of coal in stock at the plants is always maintained at a safe level, meeting the requirements of continuous operation.

The hydropower block has played a good role in regulating reservoirs during the rainy and flood season, operating flexibly and coordinating closely with functional agencies to ensure the safety of the project and the downstream area. In particular, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant has proactively operated the reservoir safely, contributing to reducing floods, limiting inundation and protecting the downstream area of ​​Quang Nam province.

Construction investment continued to have positive changes. The cumulative value of implementation in 10 months reached 7,107 billion VND, equivalent to 93.1% of the assigned plan. Key projects such as floating solar power, upgrading the exhaust gas treatment system, technical infrastructure and new power source projects were accelerated, contributing to the completion of power generation infrastructure and improving operational efficiency.

Science and technology, innovation and digital transformation work are deployed synchronously, focusing on applying technological solutions to serve technical management, production operations and ensuring information security. EVNGENCO1 is also actively preparing to participate in the National Electricity Science and Technology Conference 2025 as the chair of the power source sub-committee.

October also marked exciting movement activities such as the Sports Festival and the 2025 Workers' Singing Contest, spreading the spirit of solidarity and emulation in production labor throughout the Corporation. By the end of the month, the entire Corporation had completed the Grassroots Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, ensuring progress and quality.

Highly focused, completing the year plan

Entering the final stage of the year, EVNGENCO1 is highly focused on the goal of safe, stable and efficient operation. The planned electricity output for November is 3.04 billion kWh.

For thermal power plants, units have strengthened control of heat loss, optimized fuel consumption, and accelerated the repair and overhaul of generators according to plan, ensuring progress and technical quality. At the same time, EVNGENCO1 actively negotiated and signed a coal supply contract for 2026, ensuring a stable fuel source for long-term operations.

For the hydropower block, units strictly implement the inter-reservoir operation process, proactively regulate flood reduction for downstream areas, bring the reservoir water level back to normal before December 31, 2025, and prepare conditions for water storage for the dry season of 2026.

Investment and construction work is being vigorously implemented, focusing on completing the final settlement of transitional projects, speeding up the construction progress of floating solar power projects, technical infrastructure and exhaust gas treatment systems at power plants.

In the field of science, technology and innovation, the Corporation continues to review initiatives, complete information security records at factories and promote digitalization in technical management and operations. At the same time, EVNGENCO1 will coordinate with relevant parties to organize and coordinate well the assigned tasks at the National Electricity Science and Technology Conference, held in November 2025.
