This year’s event promises to be the focal point, a convergence of innovation, investment connections and shaping the future of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry. Entering its second year, SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 will honor the aspirations of the domestic semiconductor industry, while affirming Vietnam’s increasingly important role in the global semiconductor supply chain, aiming to become a key link in this industry by 2050.
The exhibition is expected to attract more than 5,000 domestic and international delegates, including the participation of government leaders and representatives of ministries, branches, localities, leading technology corporations, enterprises, international organizations, research institutes, universities, and experts at home and abroad. This large and diverse presence demonstrates the common determination of the entire innovation ecosystem, opening up opportunities for public-private cooperation, cross-sectoral cooperation and international cooperation to promote rapid and sustainable development for the semiconductor industry.

Press conference to announce Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2025 (SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025).
In addition, SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 reflects the strong momentum of the national semiconductor industry, with revenue forecast to grow an average of 11.6% per year until 2027. Vietnam is rapidly shifting from a processing platform to mastering technology in microchip design, assembly, testing, advanced packaging, and especially aiming to put into operation the first semiconductor factory. In parallel, a series of investment projects, production, expansion of R&D centers and cooperation commitments from international partners continue to strengthen Vietnam's position as a promising bright spot of Asia on the global semiconductor map.
The Vietnamese government has shown strong determination to promote the 3-House cooperation model between the state, schools and businesses to achieve the goal of autonomy in chip design, production and testing by 2027. Currently, the country has attracted nearly 170 high-tech FDI projects from developed economies such as the United States, South Korea, and Europe, while expanding strategic cooperation on human resource development with Japan and Taiwan. New initiatives such as about 20 national and grassroots semiconductor laboratories, and a $69 million advanced packaging laboratory in Da Nang are laying a solid foundation for a competitive, innovative and internationally integrated ecosystem.
The highlight of SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 is the Exhibition & NextGen Hub on Innovation & Career Opportunities. Including displays on chip design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, packaging and equipment; special introductions to startups, pioneers and universities with AI solutions, automation, sustainable development and smart manufacturing; a platform connecting businesses and schools to jointly guide careers for semiconductor talents.
Along with that, the Summit is a dialogue forum with Government leaders and relevant ministries and branches; thematic forums such as "Unlocking opportunities for domestic semiconductor equipment supply chains" and "AI: Promoting Vietnam's high-tech manufacturing ecosystem".
At the same time, a series of programs will take place such as: Market & technology information; Market connection session; Human resource development: TalentCONNECT (career discussion); TECH Zoomers Bootcamp (2-day training for STEM students); Flash Mentoring (students directly exchange with industry leaders); Golf Tournament@SEMIEXPO Vietnam - a relaxing space for business discussions and building cooperative relationships;...
According to Ms. Linda Tan, President of SEMI Southeast Asia, SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 affirms the determination to develop high-tech industry and build a resilient economy. The event takes place at a key stage of the semiconductor industry, aiming to strengthen the domestic supply chain and promote global integration. In the framework of cooperation with the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the Suppliers Sourcing Program will gather the largest buyers, alongside the NextGen Hub to introduce advanced technologies and promote academic-business links.
"SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 will become an important launching pad to promote innovation, nurture high-quality human resources and affirm Vietnam's strategic role in the global semiconductor value chain," Ms. Linda Tan believes.
Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), said, "With a strong policy mechanism, extensive international cooperation and new investment projects in R&D as well as human resource development, we are creating a solid foundation for long-term growth. SEMIEXPO Vietnam is not only an exhibition, but also a catalyst to promote integration and affirm Vietnam's role in the global semiconductor value chain"./.
