Nearly 100 officials of Cao Bang province were trained in sustainable smart urban development.

On the morning of November 2, 2023, the Academy of Construction and Urban Management (AMC) coordinated with the Cao Bang Department of Construction organized a training course on Overview of sustainable smart urban development within the framework of the Project "Establishing the Vietnam - Korea Cooperation Center on Smart Cities and Construction Technology" in Cao Bang province for nearly 100 students who are leaders and officials working at Departments, branches, districts and cities under Cao Bang province . Attending the opening ceremony of the course were Mr. Doan Quoc Chinh - Director of Cao Bang Department of Construction, Mr. Luu Duc Minh - Deputy Director of AMC Academy and all students participating in the course.

Speaking at the training course, Mr. Doan Quoc Chinh - Director of Cao Bang Department of Construction said that Smart urban development is an important goal that Cao Bang province is aiming for. Smart urban development is one of the important driving forces to realize the goal of turning Vietnam into a modern, high-income industrialized country by 2045. At the same time, he also highlighted the role of the Academy of Construction and Urban Management Officers when choosing Cao Bang as the locality to implement training on the contents of the VKC Project on Smart Cities. With the updated contents to enhance training, technology exchange and training cooperation on smart urban technology of the VKC Project, it is even more meaningful when Cao Bang is one of the provinces implementing digital transformation in the fields of: Economy , culture, society, towards building smart cities.

The Smart Urban Overview Training Course is of great significance in order to promptly serve the staff, civil servants, and public employees of the Construction sector, relevant departments, sectors, districts, towns, and cities in performing their assigned functions and tasks . The program content is very practical, including both theory and discussion of local situations. Therefore, in order for the training course to be highly effective, Mr. Chinh requested that the trainees uphold their sense of responsibility, attend the full course to receive the knowledge that the lecturers have imparted to effectively apply and solve assigned tasks in the locality and unit, boldly exchange and discuss difficulties, limitations, and shortcomings in practical activities in the area to clarify with the lecturers, and propose solutions suitable to local realities and daily work.

During the 3 days from November 2, 2023 to November 4, 2023, lecturers from AMC Academy will convey issues related to smart cities. Specifically, including the following contents:

- Introduce the system of legal documents, policies and institutions.

- Overview, smart urban approach

- Content of Smart Urban Development Project.

- Interconnected urban database on GIS platform

- Smart urban utility services.

- Digital transformation of construction industry sectors.

- Construction management information system and other related solution systems (BIM, BMS, ...)

- Smart urban technical infrastructure

- State management of the Construction sector in planning, project approval, construction licensing, urban development indicators in the direction of smart urban development

- Digital transformation project, building a planning management system and urban development in the construction industry at the provincial level.

As the Project coordinator, directly implementing, exploiting and using the output results of Components 3 and 4 on Establishing VKC Center (Vietnam - Korea Cooperation Center on Smart Cities and Construction Technology) and Enhancing training capacity, technology exchange and cooperation in training technology on smart cities, in the coming time, AMC Academy will continue to organize training courses on smart cities within the framework of the VKC Project. In order to make an important contribution to supporting the completion of institutions and laws on smart city development while improving the capacity of policy-making agencies and management levels at localities in the coming time.
