On November 11, Mr. Lo Van Thiep - Principal of Con Cuong Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Con Cuong Commune, Nghe An Province) said that the school has temporarily allowed students to stay home from school to prevent the epidemic. This move was made after more than half of the school's students contracted influenza A.

Specifically, from the beginning of November 2025 until now, the influenza A epidemic has broken out and spread rapidly among boarding students of Con Cuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
Preliminary statistics show that up to now, about 200 out of 388 students in the school have contracted influenza A.
“Students with influenza A have symptoms such as red eyes, watery eyes, headache, high fever, and vomiting. Some of them have been taken to the hospital by their families for treatment. The number of cases has increased rapidly due to the students' concentrated activities. The school health department has checked, made a monitoring list, and instructed students to rest and receive treatment at home,” said Mr. Thiep.

As soon as the epidemic was detected spreading rapidly among students, Con Cuong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities coordinated with Con Cuong Medical Center to disinfect and sterilize the entire school campus, dormitory, cafeteria and communal living area.
At the same time, the school also increased propaganda to teachers and students about disease prevention measures such as wearing masks, washing hands regularly, eating cooked food and drinking boiled water, and immediately reporting to medical staff if there are any unusual signs.
In addition, Con Cuong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities guides parents to take their children for examination and treatment according to the doctor's instructions.

Due to the large number of students infected with influenza A, Con Cuong Ethnic Boarding Secondary School has asked for permission from superiors and allowed students to temporarily stop going to school from November 10 to disinfect the entire school campus.
This is the first time Con Cuong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has recorded such a large number of sick students.
The school is actively monitoring students' health and will organize make-up classes to stabilize learning when the epidemic is under control.
