Nearly 300 athletes participate in the Lai Chau Provincial Women's Sports Festival 2025

VHO - On the morning of October 25, at Lai Chau Provincial Federation Gymnasium, Lai Chau Provincial Women's Union coordinated with Lai Chau Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the 9th Women's Sports Festival in 2025.

The competition had the participation of nearly 300 athletes from departments, branches, organizations and communes and wards in Lai Chau.

The 2025 Lai Chau Provincial Women's Sports Competition was organized to contribute to the practical meaning of celebrating the country's and the province's major holidays, contributing to spreading the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; the movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" and the movement "Building Lai Chau women who are compassionate, confident, creative, and have a desire to develop" towards "Building Vietnamese women of the new era".

Accordingly, the competition has the participation of nearly 300 athletes from 22 delegations, representing departments, branches, organizations and communes and wards in Lai Chau. Athletes compete in many exciting and attractive mass sports such as stick pushing, pickleball, volleyball, shuttlecock throwing, tug of war...

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Hanh, President of the Lai Chau Provincial Women's Union, said that the contest is an opportunity for women to practice health, improve physical strength, and is a useful playground, creating conditions for women to exchange and learn from each other's experiences in various fields. At the same time, it spreads the spirit of solidarity, courage and will to rise up of women, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of women, building Lai Chau women to develop comprehensively, be politically strong, morally bright, professionally good, and physically strong.
