Nearly 40 million people watched "One Piece", part 2's script is being urgently completed

According to Deadline, One Piece reached 19.3 million views on Netflix Weekly Global from September 4 to September 10. The total number of global viewers of the film in 2 weeks of showing was 37.8 million, a number that the American media assessed as "not average".

One Piece is currently the number one "hot" TV series in 86 countries and territories around the world . However, Deadline newspaper commented that One Piece still has to work harder to become the TV series with the highest viewership in television history.

I only changed my mind after watching Shaolin Soccer . That movie gave me the feeling of watching a live-action version adapted from a manga (comic book)."

Shaolin Soccer is a comedy-action-martial arts film mixed with a sports drama produced by "Hong Kong comedy king" Stephen Chow. The film was released to audiences in 2001 and had a production budget of 10 million USD.

"The success and influence of Shaolin Soccer changed my perspective. I understood that current technology is completely capable of adapting the plot of One Piece manga and creating a successful live-action version. Therefore, I sought partners to turn my vision into reality," said author Oda.

Recently, the producer of One Piece has revealed plans to make part 2 of this famous project. Part 2 is expected to be released to fans around the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Currently, the producers have not revealed much information about part 2, but they affirm that fans will not be disappointed. The CEO of the film's production unit, Marty Adelstrien, said that the script writing team is rushing to complete so that part 2 can start filming at the end of 2023.
