Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 10, 2025 |
As of the morning of May 10, domestic coffee prices are showing signs of recovery, but are still within a narrow range. However, pressure from abundant supply and currency factors may continue to influence market developments in the short term.
Weather developments in key coffee growing regions in Brazil and the weakening of the El Niño phenomenon will be important factors shaping price trends in the coming period… Brazil released preliminary data showing that its green coffee exports in April 2025 decreased by 31.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of only 2.88 million bags.
Traders said supplies from key Robusta producers in Asia remained tight, as farmers in Vietnam sold most of their inventories, while the harvest in Indonesia had yet to begin.
Forecasts of good rains in the Central Highlands and Robusta coffee growing regions of Brazil could ease concerns about short-term supply shortages, thereby putting pressure on the price recovery.
According to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, in the first 4 months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 665,889 tons, worth 3.8 billion USD, down 9.1% in volume but up 51.8% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
According to Reuters analysis, the Arabica market is receiving support from speculative buying as ICE inventories are slightly down, while Robusta is supported by lower-than-year exports from Vietnam and lower-than-expected harvest progress in Indonesia.
