Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper published: " No tolerance for counterfeit goods"
During the discussion session at the National Assembly on May 20, delegate Pham Khanh Phong Lan (Ho Chi Minh City) strongly opposed the proposal to abolish the death penalty for the crime of manufacturing and trading fake drugs. Because, if we are humane to criminals, it will be unfair to millions of innocent people who are being poisoned every day.
Delegate Nguyen Thanh Sang (Ho Chi Minh City) also said that this crime cannot be handled with “educational” sentences, but needs to be truly deterred with the most severe sanctions. The National Assembly and relevant agencies need to listen to these reasonable opinions, and cannot abolish the death penalty for the crime of producing fake drugs.
The news site kienthuc.net has an article posted: "Thai jackfruit price drops sharply, only 4,000 VND/kg".
In just one month, the price of Thai jackfruit has dropped by more than 50%, with many places now only buying at 4,000 - 10,000 VND/kg. According to growers, this price is not enough to cover the costs of fertilizer, labor and transportation, causing many households to face the risk of heavy losses. The main reason is said to be that the consumption market is slowing down. Meanwhile, supply has increased sharply because many regions are in the peak harvest season, leading to a situation where supply exceeds demand.
